There is increasing interest in restoring and collecting composition dolls. By far, composition dolls have become the most frequent visitor to our doll hospital.
This doll did not survive too well, although our Doll Doctor has seen worse. A complete restoration was in order here and our antique composition baby from the 1940s returned home to her mother in like-new condition. We classify this as a "premium restoration", or complete restoration, where the entire doll is restored. In our premium restorations, we take great care in restoring the original look of the doll while retaining as much of the original doll material as possible.
