Leather Body Restoration - Doll Hospital Case History

Case history of a leather body restoration

Restored Leather Body by A Timeless Doll Hospital

One of our earliest doll repairs, this Armand Marseille doll, broken while on display in the Surrey Museum, received a complete makeover. Her broken porcelain head was re-glued, filled, sanded and re-painted like the original; her sleep eyes were re-set; and her badly discolored and worn leather body was restored and dyed to look like new. This restoration also led to Sheila being hired by the museum to conduct one seminar on antique dolls and another on doll restorations. Read the testimonial on this project.
