Plaster Statue Restoration - Doll Hospital Case History

Case history of plaster statue restorations

Restored religious plaster statues by A Timeless Doll Hospital

Our Customer, an antique dealer in the Greater Vancouver area, purchased these 3-foot high religious statues in Eastern Canada. Over time they not only deteriorated with age, but were damaged by mishandling and eventually by water while improperly stored, not a nice thing to come into contact with plaster!

The king was missing a hand, and baby Jesus in the arms of the Madonna was missing an arm and a leg. Both statues had many chips missing as well as extensive water stains. To restore these antique statues we needed to re-sculpt the missing limbs, fill the chips, and touchup the paint where it was needed.
